Cole Truscott is a trained, certified and experienced pyrotechnician, who has performed the necessary preparation and orchestration of fireworks displays in Bozeman, Montana on July 4th since 2007.

So how does someone go from lighting fireworks as a hobby to becoming an elite pyrotechnician?

Truscott, like any good pyro, got into the fireworks business because of his undying appreciation for the colorful blasts.

"I've just kind of always been into it," Truscott said. "As a kid I'd watched the shows and then later just went out and did it myself."

He said he looks forward to each show like a kid waiting for Christmas.

"I count down the months to the next show," laughed Truscott. "I really look forward to it. I have fun with it every year, and honestly, even if they stopped paying me, I'd still do it."
